While most of my work has been regional to the Pacific Northwest, teaching quiltmaking has taken me from Quilters Affair at Sisters, OR, to Hong Kong and South Korea. I am in constant pursuit of new applications and techniques to master and share with students and colleagues. It is important to keep the exchange of ideas and methods open and flexible in both teaching and learning. I find it is not unusual that even the most inexperienced student can provide inspiration and refreshing approaches to quiltmaking.
